Seattle DSA Sherae for State Volunteer event

	<thumbnail_url>https://actionnetwork.org//images/generic_facebook.jpg</thumbnail_url>

Seattle DSA recently voted to endorse WA State Rep. candidate Sherae Lascelles (they/them)! They are running against Frank Chopp on a platform of taxing the *hell* out of the rich, putting people over profit, equity and accessibility, mutual aid and community-care. We have only a very short time until the general election, and we are asking Seattle DSA members to mobilize to send Sherae Lascelles to Olympia! For this event, we will be block-walking and dropping off Sherae for State coffee and cocoa packs at doorsteps. We will provide personal hand sanitizer for all canvassers to maintain covid-safety throughout the event. Due to the nature of dropping off packs, there will be some need for cars/resupply cars. If you have a car available to you that you can offer up for the day, we would greatly appreciate it! Come to Miller Park at 11AM on Saturday! Bring: Your mask Your healthy self (please don’t come if feeling symptomatic) A voluminous backpack/tote bag for carrying coffee and cocoa packs. Water/snacks as you might need Parking/Amenities Parking: There is a parking lot on 20th, just south of Republican. We will set up in the grassy area by that parking lot and the playground. Amenities: The community center is closed, but they will have “comfort stations” that are open to the public. Accessibility: This event will be held at a park with some curb cuts and some stairs. We will meet a spot that is accessible via the parking lot. Block-walking can use some people who can travel distances by foot going up and down stairs. We can also use drivers who can stay in their car to be re-supply stations.
