Working people in insecure work cannot plan their lives, at times they can’t pay their rent or mortgages, and must always worry if they’ll have enough to pay their weekly bills. This has only been made worse by the tragic outbreaks of Covid-19 across Australia. But instead of addressing the job insecurity crisis, the Morrison Government has changed the laws to make it easier for employers to turn permanent reliable jobs into casual, unreliable jobs Reversing the growth of insecure work requires action. We need new policies that will encourage secure work and protect the rights of working people. We need to take action to stop employers eroding the reliable and stables jobs that built Australia.
