September 20: All Out for Migrant Justice

	<thumbnail_url>https://actionnetwork.org//images/generic_facebook.jpg</thumbnail_url>

Working class people are being hit by high rents, low wages, cuts to services, and growing insecurity. Instead of fixing these crises, politicians and the super rich are scapegoating migrants. Canada is pushing migrants out. Bill C-12 is now law, denying refugee protections to thousands of people and giving the government new powers to cancel groups of permits. At the same time, millions of work and study permits are not being renewed in 2025 and 2026, pushing people out of our communities. Permanent resident status is restricted, and refugee healthcare is being cut. And yet migrants keep Canada going. Migrants care for our families, grow our food, and sustain communities across the country. But instead of delivering justice, governments trap migrants in bad jobs, separate families, exclude people from services, and then blame migrants for crises caused by underfunding, privatization, and corporate greed. While migrants and working class people are pushed into insecurity, governments are increasing military spending while cutting public services. There is money for war, but not for housing, healthcare, education, or justice. On September 20, one day before Parliament returns, we are taking action across the country to reject scapegoating and demand permanent resident status for all. Join the rally and march in Toronto and add your voice to the call for migrant justice. Migrants are not the problem — status for all is the solution.
