	<description>Class Description Active Violence Emergency Response Training (AVERT) gives you the tools to understand how to recognize warning signs, react quickly in an active shooter situation, and learn how to control bleeding in life-threatening situations. AVERT empowers participants to become an immediate on-scene responder by giving you the tools react quickly in life-threatening situations and be prepared for potentially violent situations. After an AVERT training session, participants will be able to: Recognize potential warning signs using situational awareness Decide what to do: Escape, Evade or Attack Apply critical bleeding control techniques in life-saving situations Respond quickly and confidently in an emergency situation Class Duration: 3 Hours Max Participants: 15 per class Cost: Covered by ASEA How to Register: Fill out the form with a valid email address. Registered members will be sent prerequisite information which needs to be completed before the instructor-led session. See below: Prerequisites: Participants are required to watch a 20-minute online video to prepare them for class – participants cannot be admitted into class without having completed the prerequisite.</description>
