In DC, Third Act is collaborating with a group of partners to organize a citywide day of education and solar promotion. Homeowners who have adopted solar will act as guides and champions for their neighbors, sharing their experiences firsthand. Places of worship that support solar and other community centers will serve as information hubs, hosting vetted installers and solar advocates. Partners will include Electrify DC, Solar United Neighbors, Sierra Club, Chesapeake Climate Action Network, Interfaith Power & Light, DC Solar for All, Washington Interfaith Network, Young Gifted and Green, and others. SunDay is a global day of action on September 21st, 2025, celebrating the unstoppable rise of clean energy. We’ll come together to showcase the power of the sun and wind, the energy sources that can power our world without pollution.
