Stop Banking On Formosa Plastics! Car Caravan and March

	<thumbnail_url>https://actionnetwork.org//images/generic_facebook.jpg</thumbnail_url>

Car Caravan and March for Environmental Justice: Stop Banking On Formosa Plastics! Join us as part of a Week of Action (Dec. 1- 6) Against Formosa Plastics and their Bank investors. Formosa is responsible for environmental and public health disasters from the Gulf South to Vietnam. NJ Activists will mobilize in Livingston, NJ home of Formosa's North American Headquarters. We will start with a a car caravan to three banks that are funding formosa plastics followed by a march (or another leg of the caravan for those unable to march) to Formosa HQ. Speakers at the event will include Formosa4 defendants Goldman-award winning activist Diane Wilson, Paula Rogovin, others TBD. Plus performances by the Solidarity Singers. Fill out this form and we will send you details! Together we will demand that Formosa Plastics take action on the following: Cancel the proposed expansion in Point Comfort, Texas, the new plant in Saint James Parish, Louisiana, and the Baton Rouge, Louisiana expansion, considering the will of the local communities living in the Gulf Coast , who cannot tolerate any additional pollution. Agree to an independent study to ensure no residual pollution remains in the affected areas in Vietnam, and a program to prevent future incidents. Collaborate with the Vietnamese government for the release of all prisoners who were victims of or advocates opposing Formosa’s devastation of their communities. Provide adequate compensation for the victims of the 2016 disaster in Vietnam and complete environmental restoration of the affected areas. We will demand that the Bank of America, Chase, and JP Morgan banks stop investing in Formosa Plastics and the rest of the fossil fuel industry. Contact Paula Rogovin - paularogovin3@gmail.com with questions!
