How can we help more people raise part of their own food in a healthy way? Increase the number of community gardens? Teach healthy gardening in the schools? Get little kids and senors gardening? Mid-day sessions: Tools and grant opportunities for how to promote physical activity and healthy food in your community! and Community Development Training: Turning Ideas into Action Afternoon highlight: How can we increase the opportunity for growers to sell and families to buy? The Dept of Agriculture has plans for a food hub in the Mid-Ohio area? Your chance for input. What's going on with Farmers Markets? How can small-scale growers get involved? Hear from panels of people who are doing it > break into small groups to brainstorm > compile ideas! Sponsored by Try This WV and the Mid-Ohio Valley Health Department.
