Pensioners are suffering as a result of the cuts to winter fuel, but currently the Welsh government is not proposing any additional support in its spending plans for the coming year. Scotland and Northern Ireland have already announced funding to soften the blow of cuts to winter fuel. The Welsh government does not have the same powers, but it still could do more.
