On Saturday, March 29, the Office of the Deputy Mayor for Planning and Economic Development (DMPED) will host a Disposition Meeting to discuss plans for the Chevy Chase Civic Core. Developers will present options for redevelopment, including a new state-of-the-art library, community center, vibrant outdoor space, and much-needed housing—with dedicated affordable units. The meeting will be held in-person with a virtual option. We know opposition will be strong, as NIMBY voices aim to keep Chevy Chase exclusionary.
