There will be multiple shifts for volunteers to be able to participate in: Fri. 5:15-8:00PM - Packing rice, beans, and detergent for distribution on Saturday Sat. 9:30AM-12:30PM - Setting up EZ-Up tents and preparing grocery bags for affected families Sat. 10:00AM-1:00PM - Preparing and loading grocery bags for affected families Sat. 11:00AM-2:00PM - Prepping and loading grocery bags, then cleaning up and winding down * There will also be a packing session on Friday, 10 April, where OCDSA will be assisting Costa Mesa Mutual Aid in prepping dried groceries for distribution on Saturday. * If you cannot attend any of the shifts, please feel free to check out the list below for needed items, which can be dropped off at the Costa Mesa Ikea any day of the week from 10AM-9PM. * Time: Friday 5:15-8:00PM, Saturday 9:30-2:00PM * Locations: Available upon signup https://actionnetwork.org/forms/april-2026-grocery-support-event
