Wells Fargo branch workers deserve a safe and secure working environment

Recent cuts to branch staffing, including the removal of security guards, have caused workers to be stressed and overworked. Not only does the lack of adequate staffing cause customer frustration, but it also puts Wells Fargo employees at additional risk in times of crisis. Wells Fargo's decision to forgo or remove security guards from their branches puts understaffed locations and customers at a greater risk of criminal activity, including assault and robbery. This lack of a security presence has been noticed by customers and has caught local law enforcement's attention. Many front-line employees have already experienced the consequences of these insufficient security measures, yet Wells Fargo has refused to address the issue adequately. Wells Fargo owes it to its employees and customers to put their safety first and ensure every step is taken to safeguard these locations. We demand that Wells Fargo increase staffing at branches for the safety and well-being of its employees and customers and the utilization of security guards, a common practice at other financial institutions.
