Unmarked federal vehicles chased his van and boxed him in. An ICE agent shot Lorenzo. The Harris County, Texas, medical examiner has now ruled Lorenzo's death a homicide. All three of the other people in the van at the time of ICE shooting Lorenzo to death have stated that no agents were ever in front of the car, and the agents fired from the side of the vehicle almost immediately after getting out of their unmarked SUVs. The Department of Homeland Security has produced no proof to support its claims that Lorenzo tried to run over an ICE agent. The surveillance video raises serious questions about the agency's account. And there's no body camera footage because ICE claims the agents involved were not wearing body cameras. If an ordinary person shot and killed someone under these circumstances, they would be arrested and held while investigators gathered evidence.
