Our object is to promote and protect the human rights of disabled people in employment, with a particular focus on promoting integrated employment at full wage and opposing forced or coerced labour, segregated work, and subminimum wage. This includes the participation of disabled people in: · subminimum award wages, · sheltered workshops, · Work for the Dole and similar programs, · prison labour, · training programs and therapies with compelled or coerced labour, · or any other system where disabled people’s labour is compelled, coerced, or compensated less than non-disabled peers. Voting Membership is open to all disabled people residing in Australia who are at least 14 years old, if they support the goals of OFG. Non-disabled people who meet all other criteria (and disabled people who so choose) can join as non-voting Supporting Members.
