Reclaim Rent Control

	<thumbnail_url>https://can2-prod.s3.amazonaws.com/forms/photos/000/388/024/normal/rrc_an-banner.jpg</thumbnail_url>

More than half of the 700,000 residents in D.C. are renters. Almost every week a new report is released documenting the ways that the District’s residents are being priced out of the city. Low-income residents -- often people of color, seniors, people with disabilities, and immigrants-- are the most affected by the astronomical rent prices and uninhabitable conditions. With every rent increase they are forced to move further and further away from public transportation, family, schools, hospitals, and other vital resources. The longer we wait the more people are displaced. We cannot afford to wait any longer -- we need action now.
