Wade, and that it is accessible, by lifting the bans that deny insurance coverage for abortion. Now, Governor Rauner has threatened to veto HB40 – threatening people’s health, lives, dignity, and autonomy for political gain. We know that abortion is a reality for 1 in 3 women in the United States. We know that we should be able to make decisions about parenting and pregnancy that are best for our own families.  We know that no one should be denied abortion coverage based on their income, zip code, or insurance. And we know that when we end the silence and shame around abortion, we can create a culture where policies and politicians support our decisions about our health.
