Hip Hop Caucus has a new film series in the works, FLOW: For the Love Of Water. Clean air and clean water are the essentials for life on this planet, and without them we do not exist. Today, the United States continues its dark history of poisoning and depleting one of our most valued resources—water. With colonization came a cycle of systematic oppression, displacement, and genocide, and Native communities are still fighting to resurrect and protect their culture, language, and history. Over time, drilling, fracking, and mining operations have led to massive spills and created pollutants linked to cancer, birth defects, neurological damage, and much more in Black, Brown, Indigenous and working-class communities. U.S. data centers consumed an estimated 17 billion gallons of water in 2023 alone, and their consumption is on pace to nearly double annually by 2028. FLOW shines a light on incredible waterways across the United States and dives deeper into the work being done to preserve and protect these crucial pillars of life. Sign up to be notified when we drop FLOW this year. FLOW is the latest original project from Caucus Productions—a collection of music, films, and podcasts that amplify culture, community, and real change. Caucus Productions is your gateway to powerful storytelling and creative expression, showcasing Black, Brown, and Indigenous voices and visionary artistry across the social justice movement.
