Inspired by the 2020 Black Lives Matter uprisings, the Antiracist Dictionary (Słownik Antyrasizmu) is a free educational resource focused on anti-Black racism. To our understanding, it is the first such resource that provides basic knowledge on racism and antiracism in the Polish language and context, organising key terms and concepts often absent from Polish-language literature. It also aims to contextualise racism within structural and systemic frameworks, encourage critical reflection, and promote inclusive language and antiracist perspectives. The Antiracist Dictionary features texts by Jessica Lumanisha and Margaret Amaka Ohia-Nowak. It was produced as a collaboration between new visions and POMOC, and influenced by conversations with a multiracial group of 16 Polish activists who took part in the Antiracist Toolkit (Narzędziownia Antyrasistowska) – a pilot political education and racial justice mentoring programme.
