President Fain led the Stand Up Strikes against the Big Three automakers that dramatically improved working conditions. Under Fain’s leadership, UAW has made inroads outside the big 3, even winning a union election at a VW plant in anti-union Tennessee. He’s been challenging leaders across the union movement to align contract expiration dates to May 1, 2028, creating the potential for a general strike during the final summer of Trump’s presidency.
