Tell Congress to Tax AI and Invest in People

	<thumbnail_url>https://actionnetwork.org//images/generic_facebook.jpg</thumbnail_url>

AI is becoming the next great billionaire wealth machine, and Congress needs to tax it before Big Tech locks in another generation of extreme inequality. The same tax code that already lets billionaires watch their fortunes explode while paying lower effective tax rates than many working people is now being carried into the AI age. That means the people who own the platforms, chips, data centers, and stock are positioned to capture staggering new wealth while everyone else deals with higher costs, job insecurity, and weakened public services. Senator Elizabeth Warren is calling on Congress to tax AI and invest in people. That is exactly the fight this moment demands. America’s billionaires are already sitting on trillions in wealth gains that have never been taxed and may never be taxed under current law. Elon Musk is racing toward becoming the world’s first trillionaire. AI will make this problem even worse if Congress lets billionaires build fortunes from soaring stock valuations, borrow against those fortunes tax-free, and avoid paying their fair share while workers pay taxes out of every paycheck. Big Tech is also pushing the costs of its AI buildout onto the public. Massive data centers need enormous amounts of power, water, land, and infrastructure. Families should not be stuck with higher utility bills while the richest corporations on Earth get another tax-favored pathway to bigger profits, higher stock prices, and more billionaire wealth. Congress needs to tax the AI boom at the source. That means making Big Tech corporations pay their fair share, taxing billionaire wealth gains more fairly, closing corporate loopholes, strengthening the minimum tax on billionaire corporations, and making the biggest AI data centers contribute back to the communities and infrastructure they rely on. The money should go where it belongs: health care, education, apprenticeships, stronger unemployment insurance, lower household costs, and good-paying jobs. AI should not become a rigged pipeline that turns public resources into private billionaire fortunes. Add your name to join Senator Elizabeth Warren’s call to tax AI and invest in people.
