Siskiyou IHSS caregivers give older adults and people with disabilities the freedom to receive care at home in our community, keep our neighbors safe and healthy, and save taxpayers money from costly nursing home and hospital visits. Raising wages for IHSS caregivers will: Bring in more than $500,000 of state and federal funding Create more Siskiyou jobs Stimulate our local economy If caregiver wages continue to lag behind, more community members will lose access to the essential long-term care they need to stay in Siskiyou County.
