The GND4DC coalition has been working alongside longstanding DC-based organizations that advocate for workers rights and protections and a livable wage, along with pushing for better material housing conditions so that DC residents can have the best chance to access economic opportunities. We believe in a District where workers are respected and paid fairly to build and retrofit the infrastructure we need to weather the climate crisis, from public transportation to housing to schools to lead pipe removal. Racial and environmental justice are at the heart of our work. To work on climate and housing issues in DC is to confront decades of policies that exclude and oppress specifically Black people, alongside people of color, immigrants, and low-income community members. Donations will go directly to support staff time, which underpins all of our work, and community events. Donations move through our fiscal sponsor, DC Jobs with Justice, but all funds go to GND4DC.
