Our goal is to build on our existing target and defence wards by electing key councillors in the Gorton and Denton constituency, flipping many other wards, and spreading our message of hope. What a start to the year we have had, electing our first Green MP in the North! This has changed the political landscape forever and it was down to every one of you who donated your skills, time, and money to the campaign. We now have the amazing Hannah Spencer in parliament because of you! With this historic success, we have a massive responsibility: aim much higher than originally planned so on 7th May we win more councillors in Manchester than any other party. With these additional councillors on Manchester City Council our voice will be bigger and louder. In addition to our existing target and defence wards, we now need to win vital councillors in Burnage, Levenshulme, Longsight, and Gorton and Abbey Hey to support the work of our new MP, Hannah Spencer. We also want to share our message of hope throughout Manchester to flip tight wards and increase our vote share in others. Why your help is so important We know that we are up against millionaire donors and big business that prop up the other parties. We need the support of regular people like you who want to see a better and fairer world. Any money you can donate will go so much further because it will be used by a grassroots campaign with boots on the ground and people willing to dedicate their time to get Greens elected. The Green Party has seen a massive boost in membership over the last 6 months, and this is our first test at a local level to make sure this surge is seen widespread at the ballot box.
