Our membership: SURGED! Our representation level: ~ parliamentary ~ Our councillors: 21 and ready for more! These changes have been amazing to see but we need to make sure they are sustainable. There is so much levelling up we need to do as a local party, and one of them is to make sure we can fund these operations. The good news is, if everyone chips in, we only need you to commit £2 a month. Manchester Green Party local elections are funded by our members. The stipends we receive from the main party don’t have a guaranteed time nor amount, it’s up to us to make sure we can get reliable income. This year, we spent £20,000 on campaign funding, and in the next year, we want to pursue more ambitious plans so that we can campaign in each ward we won in 2026, and have the option to pursue other wards as well. Manchester green party has 4500 members right now, if everyone gave £2 per month then here’s what we can do: Fund our most ambitious campaign plans from now until the 2027 local elections. Fund a full time employee for Manchester Green Party. Currently this is Sinead, her contract ends in August and we would love to keep her on! This is so important because right now it is all volunteer led and everyone is stretched, having someone full time will allow us to scale up to the size of our membership. Rent a permanent office to replace the one we used in Gorton and Denton, the lease of which is soon ending. Can we count on you by setting up a monthly donation to the Manchester Green Party from as little as £2? If you can donate any more than £2, that will really speed up our ability to launch all our plans, but if not, £2 really does make all the difference.
