The San Francisco Board of Supervisors just voted to approve a policy that would allow the police force to use ROBOTS capable of using lethal force in "extraordinary" circumstances. Robots? Lethal force? Extraordinary circumstances!? It doesn't take much to understand what this could mean for Black lives in San Francisco. This is why we say defund the police. Because in what world is a robot capable of using lethal force under any circumstance acceptable? We cannot let this become a reality. The San Francisco Board of Supervisors is voting for the 2nd (and final) time in the coming days before it heads to the mayor's desk -- write a letter to the board of supervisors and tell them to vote NO on this measure.
