We see it every day in our own community. Whether it’s Hartford's Corporation Counsel’s office withholding complaints from the Police Civilian Review Board or the unlawful, overly aggressive arrests of unarmed residents. Right here in Hartford, you have an opportunity to tell the Mayor and Hartford City Council how you want your city money to be spent. Hartford City Council will deliberate on the budget next Wednesday, June 10th. This year, 30% of the city's non-education budget is going toward the police. Say loud and clear: we stand against racist police violence.
