But the Trump administration is considering a change that would change that, and make every federal employee loyal to him, not the people. Right now, the Office of Personnel Management is accepting official comments on a policy to force every federal employee to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement. This administration has already overseen the largest data breach in history, when a DOGE employee walked off with the entire Social Security NUMIDENT file, which includes personally identifying information for every American born in the last hundred years. Names, dates of birth, Social Security numbers, employment history―a hacker’s dream. The only reason we know this happened is because of a whistleblower at the Social Security Administration. The Trump administration appears to think the problem with the story above is that we, the people, found out. We can still stop this policy.
