In Gaza, 4,000 children have been killed in the past month. The hostages taken by Hamas are no closer to release and face possible death due to the relentless bombing. International calls for humanitarian relief and a ceasefire are met with increased bombing by the Israeli government. Our Indigenous values and traditions teach us that all life, human and the natural world, is precious and interconnected. We urgently need a ceasefire and to allow for humanitarian aid to be distributed to Palestinians, Israelis, and everyone in the region. We can and must push our leaders to stand up for international law and end the ongoing bombardment and violence against civilians. Our tax dollars fund the overwhelming majority of Israel’s military budget. And Congress is on track to send billions of dollars more for Israel’s military.
