But for all their hard work, they’re paid less than their public school colleagues and have fewer resources for their students than they would in a public school. While the educators struggle, the CEO of Acero is making record profits. That’s why, on Dec. 4, Acero’s educators decided to become the first charter school network in the nation to go on strike.
