A Palestinian boy, Ahmad Manasra, is back in solitary confinement after being hospitalized following over seven months in solitary and suffering from serious mental illness. The UN’s Mandela rules prohibit solitary confinement for more than 15 consecutive days. Breaking these parameters is defined as torture. Despite this, the Israeli Prison Authority requested to extend his solitary confinement for another six months. The court will decide on this on August 16th, 2022. Email Congress Now.
