Potential cuts, including $880 billion in proposed cuts to Medicaid, $12 billion in proposed cuts to school breakfast and lunch, and $230 billion in proposed cuts to the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) would have devastating effects on the health and overall wellness of families, seniors, students, and many others who rely on these programs for essential food and healthcare access. Every day, GLIDE is feeding our neighbors in need of a meal, providing early education to children in our community, and addressing the immediate health needs of people who have nowhere else to turn. We know how many San Franciscans are one paycheck away from losing the stability that they have worked so hard to establish, and how many lives would be devastated by these cuts.
