Don Block should NOT be allowed to launder his reputation at church

Don Block purports to represent Pittsburgh, his faith, and in some cases, you. With his ownership in the Post-Gazette's parent company, which has sicced private security and local cops on striking workers, he betrays Pittsburgh. In his role as Chair of District 2 of The Diocese of Pittsburgh, which believes in a "loving, liberating, and life-giving God ," he betrays that belief. As someone who shares a community with plenty of people who work for a living, care for their neighbors, and do what they can to support each other in our shared struggles, he betrays us, too. But he doesn't have to. That's why we're asking you to write to his fellow leaders of the Episcopal Diocese of Pittsburgh yourself and reiterate to him his responsibility for the harm he's actively enabling in this community with his and his company's refusal to settle the strike. Our demands remain that the PG undo the illegally, unilaterally imposed working conditions it implemented in 2020 and offer dignified health care to its workers. Don is capable of making this happen. Will you tell him so?
