The Trump Office of Personnel Management (OPM) issued a proposed rule straight out of Project 2025 that would supercharge Trump’s efforts to fire the workers who have made sure Social Security benefits were paid in full and on time and replace them with more DOGE loyalists. It would allow Trump to politicize the doctors at the Department of Veterans Affairs. The last thing Americans need is a government staffed with people whose qualifications come from their partisan loyalty, rather than their training.
