DPD Switzerland however, are showing a nasty union-busting side. They’ve prompted their subcontractor to fire five delivery workers, all members of the Unia union. Two of them had been elected by their colleagues to represent them at national and international level. The workers were told they were dismissed for poor performance. Yet one of them was among the three best drivers during 10 months last year. As young fathers, they are calling for solidarity to ensure that their fundamental rights are respected.
