Institutions everywhere should reject all affiliation with Chevron in protest. Why #DropChevron? President Trump did not inform Congress before using taxpayer dollars to murder more than 100 people and kidnap President Maduro in Venezuela. Trump did tip off oil executives a month before the attack. Chevron stock rose over 6% in value just a couple days after the invasion. Chevron has a long history of harming people and the planet, including supplying nearly half of the electricity to Israel. Its imperialist foothold is strengthening in the wider region and now Venezuela. Chevron whitewashes its long history of fueling war crimes by sponsoring events, sports teams, and institutions that offer real value to their local communities.
