House Judiciary Democrats are investigating reports that more than $1 million in FBI bonus money flowed to members of Patel’s handpicked advisory team and personal security detail. Some agents reportedly received nearly $8,000 every two weeks and close to $40,000 each. These extraordinary payments drained FBI bonus accounts and rewarded people who served Patel personally, carried out his political agenda, and witnessed his misconduct. This is blatant corruption inside the nation’s most powerful law enforcement agency. Patel used taxpayer money to protect himself and strengthen the loyalty of the people closest to him.
