Fight back against funding cuts for education

	<thumbnail_url>https://actionnetwork.org//images/generic_facebook.jpg</thumbnail_url>

Public education is the bedrock of our society, but―if the right wing in Congress has its way―it risks crumbling to pieces while exacerbating racial and economic inequality. The House Labor-HHS-Education appropriations bill, which was just introduced, will cut education spending by at least 13% below the current FY2024 level, including slashing Title 1 K-12 funding for schools serving children in low-income families by 25%. Tight budget controls have severely constricted education funding for years. As a result, ongoing education programs receive $7 billion less than they did a decade ago in inflation-adjusted terms. Our children have suffered enough. They don’t need to bear the brunt of right-wing attacks on education. Click “Start Writing” to send a message to your representative, urging them to reject education funding cuts.
