Fight to Restore Vaccine Funding

	<thumbnail_url>https://actionnetwork.org//images/generic_facebook.jpg</thumbnail_url>

More than $2 billion in federal childhood vaccine funding has just been wiped out. Clinics closed. Outreach programs dismantled. Vaccine educators fired. And all of it happened quietly, just weeks before millions of children return to school. This is a coordinated public health disaster engineered by RFK Jr.’s Department of Health and Human Services. Florida alone lost $226 million. California: $176 million. Texas: $125 million. Even rural states like South Dakota and Wyoming are losing over $35,000 per 1,000 people. These funds supported lifesaving programs that ensured kids were protected from preventable diseases like measles, mumps, and whooping cough. The result? Herd immunity is collapsing. Vaccine misinformation is surging. And with the school year beginning, we’re staring down the barrel of a full-blown measles epidemic, a disease so contagious it can infect 9 out of 10 unvaccinated people in a room. Children’s lives are on the line. And it’s not just vaccine access that was slashed, funding for vaccine hesitancy research was also eliminated. That means the programs designed to fight disinformation and reach underserved families were defunded at the moment we need them most. It’s reckless, political, and totally preventable. We’ve pressured RFK Jr. to reverse course on measles before, and we can do it again. But only if we flood his office with demands right now. Tell HHS to restore funding for immunizations and launch a nationwide vaccine awareness campaign before kids get sick.
