Florida - Protect Abortion Access for ALL

Florida is taking its anti-abortion laws to the next level. In fact, as early as next week they could vote to make it even harder for 2 million young people to get the abortion care they need. While Florida doctors already have to inform a young person’s parent before performing an abortion, now Florida legislators want to force young people to get parental consent, and doctors must refuse to provide abortion care unless a parent says it’s okay. That’s right, young people seeking their constitutional right to a common medical procedure could be stopped by Florida politicians. Most young people do consult their parents when they’re facing an unintended pregnancy. But some just aren’t able to. When they can’t, this bill would force them to go before a judge who makes the decision for them. That’s right, a total stranger decides if they should be forced to give birth. It's not reproductive freedom if you're not free to make your own decisions about your own body. So use the simple form on the right-hand side to send a letter to your legislators telling them to VOTE NO on forced parental consent for abortion. Trust us, sending a letter matters - a state senator or representative truly listens to the people they represent. But more importantly, our opponents have mobilized. Representatives are getting an earful from extremists all across the state. They need to hear that there's another side to this debate - a side who cares about young people’s safety, civil rights, and reproductive freedom for all. That's where YOU come in. Abortion is healthcare, plain and simple. And forced parental permission makes it harder to access that healthcare. It’s dangerous and wrong. Use the form on the right to send your legislators a letter today!
