This bill will fund a study to look at the present state of our institutions, and collect 10-year trends in the higher education workforce, tuition and student needs workforce, and institutional finance. It will also assess options on our fiduciary and governance structures informed by national trends. House Bill 4125 passed with bipartisan support in the House Committee on Higher Education on Thursday, February 15th, but its future is uncertain. We need you and your colleagues to show up in numbers and ask that the study is funded. Use the template below to email the Joint Committee on Ways & Means Co-chairs, Senator Elizabeth Steiner and Representative Tawna Sanchez, alongside Senate President Wagner and House Speaker Dan Rayfield and tell them why this study and more funding for higher ed is critical for our Public Universities.
