Support Legislation to fund November SNAP Benefits

	<thumbnail_url>https://actionnetwork.org//images/generic_facebook.jpg</thumbnail_url>

I am writing to ask you to support and pass legislation that would fund Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits. Legislation must ensure funding for November’s SNAP benefits even if the federal government remains closed. The alternative is less food assistance for 1.4 million Georgians, including more than 640,000 children. Families may forgo essential prescriptions or delay paying some bills to afford to eat. Others will simply go hungry. Furthermore, grocery stores will see fewer sales as the holidays approach. These are completely preventable outcomes if Congress acts swiftly to protect SNAP benefits.
