Governor Sununu - Veto HB 1431

	<thumbnail_url>https://actionnetwork.org//images/generic_facebook.jpg</thumbnail_url>

HB 1431 is couched in nice language as a so-called "Parental Rights Bill". This bill would require N.H. teachers and school staff to disclose to parents any communications they have with students that affect the child’s health and well-being, potentially chilling important confidential conversations with students in vulnerable situations who do not feel safe at home. The bill has now passed both the House and Senate in different forms. If the House concurs with the Senate the bill goes straight to the Governor. If they disagree there would be a committee of conference where they would work out differences and it could still go to the Governor. We need people to contact the Governor and ask him to VETO HB 1431 if it reaches his desk.
