She has been struggling with her mental health since she got knocked back by the ableist parole board process, a cruel part of the indefinite sentence of imprisonment for public protection (IPP). Although Neurika has made it clear she manages her mental health well when she shares a cell, HMP New Hall have isolated Neuirka, placing her in a single cell. This actively endangers Neurika’s life. “Welfare” checks cannot keep her safe. We know the prison does this on purpose to endanger life. Death rates inside are high, especially those on indefinite sentences like IPPs. Neurika is "risk assessed" to be able to share but remains isolated. Instead of support Neurika has been adjudicated for "refusing to move into a safe cell".
