Investigate the Epstein Files

	<thumbnail_url>https://actionnetwork.org//images/generic_facebook.jpg</thumbnail_url>

The Jeffrey Epstein scandal has exposed one of the most disturbing failures of our justice system. A trafficking network operated for decades while wealthy and powerful people appeared to move through it without consequences. Survivors spoke out. Investigations uncovered horrifying details. Documents surfaced connecting Epstein to influential individuals across politics, business, and global finance. Yet accountability has remained painfully incomplete. Too many questions remain unanswered. Too many survivors are still waiting for justice. And too many powerful people have escaped scrutiny simply because of who they are. That cannot be the end of the story. In Illinois, State Representative Abdelnasser Rashid has introduced legislation to establish the Illinois Epstein Files Investigation Commission. The bipartisan proposal would investigate whether Epstein’s trafficking network had victims in Illinois, and whether crimes occurred under state law that could be prosecuted. If Epstein’s network intersected with individuals, businesses, or institutions in a state, that state has both the power and the responsibility to investigate. New Mexico is already acting. And Illinois is taking a big step with this legislation. But across the country, communities deserve to know whether powerful individuals connected to Epstein’s trafficking network operated with impunity inside their states. Survivors deserve answers, and the public deserves transparency. Justice cannot depend on wealth, influence, or political connections. That is why states must step forward and investigate the Epstein files themselves. Send a message to your state legislators today, urging them to introduce legislation establishing a state investigation into any connections between Jeffrey Epstein’s trafficking network and your state.
