Trump has engaged in illicit activities. Progressive Democrats of America (PDA) first called for Congressional investigations into Trump’s potentially impeachable offenses more than a year ago. Brave members of Congress have called for such inquiries, but to date they haven’t been scheduled. The Mueller Report called upon the Congress to do its job: “The conclusion that Congress may apply obstruction laws to the President’s corrupt exercise of the powers of office accords with our constitutional system of checks and balances and the principle that no person is above the law.... [W]hile this report does not conclude that the President committed a crime, it also does not exonerate him.” Now, we’re asking for your help to push for definitive investigations to determine whether or not Trump is a crook. Under our system of government, the Judiciary Subcommittee on Constitution, Civil Rights and Civil Liberties is charged with holding hearings about Trump’s wrongdoing. The subcommittee members can do so rapidly, but they need to know their House colleagues and their constituents support them. Please contact your Representative to urge him or her to demand hearings by the Judiciary Subcommittee ASAP.
