The guild is asking for the company to provide safety equipment, which is imperative considering the extreme events, such as ice storms, wild fires and other hazardous situations, that staff cover. It also includes provisions that make sure that staff are reimbursed for loss or damage to equipment, including cars. As the company does not provide vehicles, NewsGuild members are putting their own vehicles at risk.
