Part-time faculty at UVM continue to go without raises during this time of high inflation, and currently have no parental leave, no employer retirement contributions, and cannot transfer earned tuition credits to dependents. Additionally, recent academic reorganizations threaten the informal aspects of job security many have relied upon, despite an earlier contractual agreement offering longer appointments for those with seniority.
