Why the inconsistency? The sponsors have claimed that they want to give voters more information, but their claim doesn’t pass the smell test. The fact is, these bills reflect a political calculus that party labels would be helpful for Republican judicial candidates in certain races, but harmful for candidates in others. This kind of manipulation is unacceptable. Ohioans of all parties should reject this hyper-partisan, political maneuver to influence our court system.
