	<description>Tell the MNPS Board of Education to support our budget and ESSER spending priorities! We know that our students need stability in order to learn best. The last two years have brought anything but that. Our schools are running understaffed with everyone overworked. These working conditions are not sustainable, and we are seeing loads of educators leaving and vacancies remaining unfilled. If the district wants to create the schools our students deserve, they will prioritize retention and make MNPS a district where educators want to come because they know they will be cared for. To address the staffing crisis and burnout, we are asking the Board of Education to: Improve compensation for all district employees, including a COVID bonus to be paid this year. Increase sub pay to attract more candidates to guarantee a reasonable workload for all MNPS employees. Prioritize hiring additional counselors, social workers, and psychologists to meet the SEL needs of all our students. Expand plans to update facilities--air conditioning, ventilation, etc.--to ensure the health and safety measures for both staff and students so that we can feel confident that we do not have to choose between the schools we love and our families. Commit to the creation of a stakeholder committee made up of educators, parents, and district leaders to determine the distribution of funds Your voice is needed to ensure these priorities are met!
