Pass the ASAP Act

	<thumbnail_url>https://can2-prod.s3.amazonaws.com/letters/photos/000/460/982/normal/1.png</thumbnail_url>

Americans across the political spectrum agree. What we need most is early detection. The ASAP Act ensures that Medicare beneficiaries have access to the FDA-approved screening tests for Alzheimer’s. Today, Medicare is legally barred from covering screening tests for diseases that cause dementia. The ASAP Act would change that by authorizing Medicare coverage of FDA-approved blood-based screening tests through Medicare’s own evidence-based process, and by allowing future FDA-approved screening methods to be covered as the science advances. Access to Alzheimer’s earlier detection tests would give Latino families time to plan and explore treatment options to slow or stop disease progression.
