Pop the Astoria Park Bubble

	<thumbnail_url>https://can2-prod.s3.amazonaws.com/groups/default_facebook_images/000/143/371/original/nycdsa-square-red.png?1730228316</thumbnail_url>

We're fighting to keep private developers out of Astoria Park. NYC Parks is reviewing bids from private companies to take over our tennis courts for the next 20 years, enclosing the majority of them in a bubble and building a permanent clubhouse. Whoever wins gets to decide what to charge. Nearby bubbled courts already charge upwards of $100 an hour. We've watched this fail again and again across NYC, operators price out our neighbors, add to noise and pollution, and don't keep the promises they make to get community buy-in. Astoria deserves affordable recreation, not a bidding war over our own park. We beat this same proposal back in 2005. Let's do it again. Email your elected officials below tell them: Keep Astoria Park Public.
